SOUTH BEND, Ind.---- The council could be making some changes to its Chronic Nuisance Ordinance after Eddy Street Commons got a warning letter.
Those letters go out once an address receives at least three calls for city services within 60 days.
The ordinance is setup to hold the property owners responsible.
But, the calls to Eddy Street Commons involved a bar fight and a noise complaint at a housing complex.
Council members say the intention wasn't for the businesses and apartments to be lumped together.
The council will work with the city's legal department to amend the ordinance and make it more fair.
Eddy Street Commons won't be considered a 'chronic nuisance' unless the property has more than 12 calls for service over 90 days.
