SOUTH BEND, Ind. - For a sick child, the holiday season can seem like the worst time to be stuck in the hospital.
That is why kids at Memorial Children's Hospital were treated to a special painting experience on Tuesday.
South Bend's Wine and Canvas and Cash Pak Marketing teamed up to let children and their families for Cookies and Canvas.
During the event, kids were taught how to paint their own Christmas tree as they enjoyed sweet treats and milk.
“Life is full of blessings and depending upon your needs we feel like the benefit to the children to that they may not be able to leave the hospital to go home for Christmas we thought we can bring Christmas to them,” said Atonio Parisi, whose restaurant provided lunch for family members and staff.
Cash pak also brought thirty tablets for the kids. Teddy bears for the younger kids were delivered by Santa Claus himself.
