Concord's Franko House picks Ball State for hoops

It turned out to be a rollercoaster weekend for Concord senior Franko House.

On Friday, he and his football teammates were crushed by Jimtown 48-0 in what was the first loss of the season for the Minutemen.

Then on Saturday, he visited Ball State--talked to basketball coach Billy Taylor and enjoyed his team with the Cardinals players.

On Sunday, he made his decision---he's going to play college basketball at Ball State. House not only how to choose a school but also a sport.

"It was pretty hard," House said of the process. "Everybody kept asking me--football or basketball. Most of the time I hung around basketball because when I was little, I always played that and enjoyed it."

House said he talked with his brother and family and decided he liked basketball more and liked Ball State the most.

"It's going to be exciting," the 6'5" House said of playing for former Irish standout Billy Taylor. "I can't wait. I don't really know what it's going to be like but I'm excited."
