ST. JOE CO., Ind.--- This morning people of all faiths from around St. Joe County gathered for the annual Community Prayer Breakfast.
The annual breakfast was held today on the National Day of Prayer as groups of different religious backgrounds got together in a celebration of faith.
The event was put on by the Inter-religious Community of St. Joseph County at the Century Center.
And Rabbi Eric Siroka says it’s always a highlight of his year.
“One of the highlights has been the opportunity to reach beyond the walls of my synagogue, beyond the walls of my denomination, and to join hand in hand with human beings of all races, ethnicities and religious backgrounds; sharing our common humanity and gathering together and knowing we passionately care for things like justice, peace and blessing,” said Rabbi Siroka.
The keynote speaker this year was Rabbie Rachel Mikva from Chicago.
