The Common Council Thursday night welcomed South Bend's new Police Chief. The event was held at the Kroc Center, and its purpose was to introduce Chief Ronald Teachman to some of South Bend's Community Leaders.
Teachman took time to speak to the audience and answer questions. The Council Members say the Chief needs the public's help.
“We want to hear from people, people are tired of listening to me talk or anybody else, what's good what's bad and what you would want changed,” said Common Council Member Derek Dieter (D).
Teachman is a native of Massachusetts, but most recently worked training officers in Central Asia.
