The Commissioner for Indiana's Bureau of Motor Vehicles is resigning.
R. Scott Waddell made the announcement Tuesday, stating that it was simply time for him to step down. He will finish working with the BMV in early December, after submitting a voluntary resignation. Waddell has served as Commissioner of the Department since October 2010.
He says it has been an honor to serve under Governors Mitch Daniels and Mike Pence, and is glad to have played a role in increasing online services the BMV provide.
