Elkhart A sigh of relief for a couple in Elkhart, who's repeatedly faced the possibility of deportation.

Monday, U.S. immigration officials granted another stay for Armando and Marta Paez. That means the couple can continue to live and work in Michiana for now.

Armando and Marta are from Colombia, and have been fighting for ten years to stay in the U.S., ever since a visa violation. According to our reporting partners at The Elkhart Truth, their new hold on deportation will expire in February.

Armando Paez works as a host at Antonio's Italian Ristorante and the Vine.
