The trend is catching on around the nation. People put on white clothes and run through colored dye. They’re called color runs, and a new color run in Michiana will benefit kids.
On Saturday, June 28, The Boys & Girls Club of Elkhart, along with Beacon Health System, is holding the Colors for Kids 5K. The course runs through downtown parks and the historic Beardsley area. The event is great for avid runners, and people who just want to have fun with the colors.
“We want everyone to come,” Boys & Girls Club of Elkhart board member Jami Stamm says. “We don’t care if you run, walk, hop, skip or jump. We just want everyone to come. Bring your family with you!”
There will be entertainment and color stations in addition to the run.
Registration is now open for kids of all ages. It costs $30 per entry. Click for more information.
All proceeds from the run benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Elkhart. They hope to raise at least $15,000 with the run.
