COLOMA, Mich.-- A Coloma woman was arrested after police say she drove her car into a frozen lake.

Officers responding to a 911 call from Paw Paw Lake in Coloma around 3:30 a.m. found the 46-year-old's car under ice, 50 feet off shore. The woman had been rescued by a friend.

That friend told officers he'd been driving behind her after they had left a local bar when he saw her plow through a yard and around a dock crashing through the frozen water.

Tests revealed a blood alcohol level two and a half times the legal limit.

The car remains in the lake until weather allows crews to pull it out.
