The man charged with killing a South Bend woman more than a year ago has accepted a plea agreement in the case.
Back in January of 2012 Manuel Clemon, 45, was charged with felony murder in the death of Deshone Caradine. Friday, he pleaded guilty instead, to a reduced charge of voluntary manslaughter.
Police say Clemon stabbed the 42-year-old woman to death. Caradine's son discovered her body inside her Eddy Street apartment. Chicago Police arrested Clemon after several days of searching. Sentencing is set for April 10.
Clemon is facing 20 to 50 years in prison.
