GOSHEN The city of Goshen is looking at more detailed plans for a new development along the Millrace canal.

Matthews LLC plans to build about two dozen two and three story homes along the canal, but the city won't approve the project until they see a materials list for the exterior of the homes, as well as an estimate on how tall the buildings would be. The Elkhart Truth reports that the commission tabled the issue until their February 11th meeting to give the company more time to fill in those details.

Matthews LLC hopes to begin construction in late summer or early fall and open the first model by next spring.
