Folks can have Coffee with a Cop Wednesday morning. Officers from the city, county, state and other area communities will gather at Lark's restaurant, located at 174 Main St. It's an opportunity to chat with law enforcement about concerns and questions and to get to know the officers. The event begins at 8:30a.m.
The Travel Channel is coming to Elkhart on Wednesday. The Hall of Heroes Super Hero Museum will be on the show "Toy Hunter." The show follows a toy dealer, looking for rare items all over the country. There’s no word yet on when the episode will air.
Wawasee High School's choir students are heading to Florida on Friday. Stacey Page Online reports that they'll perform in the Candlelight Processional at Epcot in Disney World. The 45-minute show tells the story of the birth of Jesus through Christmas carols. The students raised $40,000 dollars for the trip. They'll perform with 300 other students from around the country. Trace Adkins is narrating the performance.
A popular restaurant downtown is offering a cookbook for sale. "Recipes from the Hearth" is a 150-page book full of photos and recipes. It is for sale at Fiddler’s Hearth for $20. "Lady of the House" Carol Meehan selected 100 of her favorite Celtic dishes for the book.
Kosciusko Fit is gearing up for the new year with its third annual program to get people in shape. They're looking for individuals or teams of four who are at least 18 years old. New this year is a corporate challenge. The registration deadline is January 6th.
St. Joseph, Mich.
Berrien County commissioners will soon vote on a proposal to add life rings to the south pier in St. Joseph at Silver Beach County Park. According to WSJM, that vote will be January 9th.
