Miss Indiana Mekayla Diehl will team up with the Elkhart County Women's Shelter for the first annual Breakfast for a Cause Thursday morning at the RV-MH Hall of Fame. The shelter serves more than four hundred women and children every year. Diehl is the keynote speaker and will be sharing her story. She was sexually abused at the age of 8.
Ivy Tech Community College and Goodwill are teaming up for a job fair in Michigan City on Thursday. It will be held at Blue Chip Casino from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Stardust Room. More than a dozen companies will be there looking for prospective hires.
The St. Joseph County Public Library is hosting a free back to school scavenger hunt all day at the Virginia Tutt branch in South Bend. Each child will get a small prize for completing the hunt. If you can't make it Thursday they'll be doing it again on Friday.
The University of Notre Dame Fun Lab is looking for families to participate in their new study. Families with intellectual children and-or have developmental disabilities between the ages of 6 and 17 are encouraged to apply. The university is using this study to improve communication within the household. Families can earn up to $295.
