Here's a recap of our City By City report from Monday August 11, 2014:
Your pooch can get a bath all while helping other dogs in need in Elkhart. The Humane Society of Elkhart County is holding a dog wash fundraiser at Paw Mart on Bristol Street from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday night. The minimum donation is $5. Proceeds will go toward taking care of the animals looking for forever homes at the shelter.
You can meet the artists Monday night at a new gallery exhibit at the Salvation Army Kroc Center. This is the first of several exhibits the public will be able to enjoy over the next year. Artists Jill Heavner and Jean Magrane have more than 40 paintings hanging in the garden level of the Kroc Center through September 1. The opening and reception will run from 5-7 p.m.
Registration is going on now for a "Teen Lock-In" at the Mishawaka Library on Lincoln Way East. It’s going on this Friday, Aug. 15, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. You can register your teen by calling (574) 259-5277 extension 218.
