ELKHART, Ind.--- One Michiana church is using the Easter season to give back to our community.

Radiant Life Church in Elkhart is holding a food drive this weekend.

The drive is replacing the church's annual Easter egg hunt.

In the past, church officials would hide thousands of plastic eggs filled with candy for kids to track down.

Now, they hope to collect 15,000 food items for the Northern Indiana Food Bank and Church Community Services.

The food drive also runs on Saturday.

Protein items like peanut butter and tuna are in high demand.

If you're able to donate head out to the Northern Indiana Event Center between 8 and 11 a.m.
