SOUTH BEND, Ind. The holiday season has arrived in downtown South Bend.

The city's downtown tree was lit Friday night, during December's First Fridays event.

Several of the businesses were open and featured deals for visitors of all ages.

After the tree lighting, Santa paraded down Michigan St.

But, if you missed you're free photo opportunity with him tonight, you can find him on the gridiron.

“We get to do something together as a family and celebrate and bring the season in together,” said local resident Sarah Mehling. “It was super super duper awesome.”

All children who visit Santa will get an I Believe sticker, which is good for a free chocolate bar from the South Bend Chocolate Café.
