Christmas music hits streets and airwaves

Thanksgiving is still a week away, but some are already getting in the mood for Christmas.

102.3 The Stream is now playing Christmas music around the clock. They're the first station to kick off the Christmas carol season.

St. Joseph is also getting in the mood for Christmas, lighting the streets Friday night for the Luminary Festival.

Cook Nuclear and Indiana Michigan Electric provide more than 1,000 luminaries to bathe the city in candlelight.

Horse-drawn trolleys are part of the celebration from 5 to 8. They leave from the corner of Elm and State Street.

Shops and restaurants will keep their doors open late, with special holiday deals.
