SOUTH BEND, Ind. The Christkindl market, a Chicago mainstay during the holidays, came to South Bend on Sunday.

Artisans set up tables inside the Double Tree Hotel downtown, offering items like mulled wine table to help folks get into the festive spirit.

“Michiana residents are hungry for this kind of thing, so when you do something like this people come out,” said Cathy Dietz, events and operations coordinator for DTSB, Inc. “[Finding] artisans in the area is easy we have a lot of very talented people. It’s a lot to put together the logistics and everything.”

This year, the South Bend Christkindl market was only open for two Sundays. But, it hopes to have more market days next Christmas season.
