With winter around the corner, there may be some good news about the cost of keeping your home warm this winter.
NIPSCO says they expect winter heating bills to be among the lowest in a decade as long as winter temperatures fall within the normal range. The estimated cost for this year are expected to be slightly below what they were last year.
Over the course of the five-month winter heating season, starting November 1st and ending March 31st, average customers using a total of 624 Therms will likely pay around 438 dollars this year. That is compared to 440 dollars last season.
