BENTON HARBOR A typically peaceful resting site will become a mess of digging and holes. A cemetery in Benton Harbor mixed up some of the graves, and now they need to fix the problems.

New management took over the Crystal Springs Cemetery last October and found a mess of inaccurate records. In order to verify who's body is really in a particular grave, they have to dig down to the concrete vault, which typically has a name plate on top.

The process costs money, especially if graves have to be moved. The Herald Palladium reports the community hasn't yet decided how to pay for the work.
