The cause of a blast at a water treatment plant has been determined.
The explosion at Goshen Water Treatment Facility pushed out a concrete block and brick wall and shattered the building's windows last Monday.
A city utilities spokesman says it started because methane gas built up in a room where sewage is broken down. It then leaked into another part of the plant and ignited.
The Goshen News reports that the spark came either from a motor or a heater in the room where the fire started.
