Most of Michiana woke up to another few inches of snow this morning thanks to plenty of lake-effect.

Cars were slipping and sliding through intersections Thursday morning on their way to work as another 5 to 7 inches blanketed the area overnight.

Some folks were out plenty early to get rid of the snow in their driveways while others headed to work.

But those living in South Bend are glad this wave of lake effect was nothing like the 37 inches the area received last weekend.

Century Center Ground Crew member James Sylvester said, “Driving in was rather hazardous. Of course the city is out there but the record amount of snow that we've got is kind of hard for everyone to keep.”
