A car crashed into a utility pole Wednesday evening knocking out power to close to 120 residences.
The accident happened near the intersection of State Road 23 and the state line.
Police tell us a man was headed south from Michigan into Indiana when he lost control of his car.
The man struck a utility pole splitting his car in two.
He was taken to the hospital for serious but non-life threatening injuries.
It is not known if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
Officials expect power to be restored to customers by Thursday morning.
