Cadillac drives straight over roundabout near the South Bend airport

Two people were injured after crashing over a roundabout near the South Bend Regional Airport.

It happened just after 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening, when two people traveling west on Lincolnway West in a red sedan drove straight through the roundabout. The car went over the curb, knocked over the Lincolnway sign and crash landed on the median on Lynn St.

One of the two people inside the car was found unconscious, both people were taken to the hospital with injuries.

Officials from Southwest and Clay Fire, as well as the St. Joseph County Police arrived at the scene of the crash. No word yet on the extent of the injuries or what caused the crash.
