ELKHART A man whose Elkhart business was raided by federal agents Friday was imprisoned for bank and wire fraud during the 1990s.

According to The Elkhart Truth, James P. LeDonne, 59, of Granger, was sentenced in 1993 to more than five years in prison after he pleaded guilty to orchestrating fraudulent check and check kiting schemes in Elkhart.

LeDonne is listed as chief financial officer of Paragon Technology LLC, the business raided Friday, in a lawsuit pending in Elkhart Superior Court 1.

LeDonne has not been charged with a crime connected to Friday’s FBI raid.

Paragon Technology Group, located on 2801 Dexter Drive, saw numerous officers and agents darting in and out of its doors during the investigation.

At around 11:30 a.m., authorities brought a U-Haul to the scene in order to transport additional materials. More than 75 boxes of evidence were loaded into the truck.
