After years of delays, a Michiana bus driver accused of child seduction was sentenced Tuesday.

Monisha Simpson was convicted on two counts of child seduction after being accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student.

Simpson was assigned to the Clay High School football team back in August 2011. She began spending time with a student at her home.

Court documents say the victim initially told Simpson he was 18.

Since Simpson has complied with all of the judge's orders, her charges were treated as a misdemeanor and she was sentenced to one year probation.

Simpson has 30 days to appeal her sentencing. She and her attorney refused to comment because of that possibility.
