Wedding bells were ringing in Granger Saturday morning.
Brides and grooms-to-be poured into the Martin’s Supermarket in Heritage Square for the store’s first bridal showcase.
The event was free to the public, and participating vendors handed out prizes throughout the day. Engaged couples joined their friends and family in preparing for the big day by consulting with about a dozen area wedding professionals.
“We have all types of wedding service providers,” said Elise Kunkel, a market specialist at Martin’s. “We have our catering services, our flower market, our bake shop. As you can see if have all of these lovely cakes behind me. We also have a DJ, a harpist, a bridal show. People we think are a list vendors that we would recommend to any bride.”
Around 50 people showed up within the first hour. But for those who missed out on Saturday, keep an eye out for a repeat event.
Organizers hope to host another showcase next year.
