SOUTH BEND Joshua Anglemyer will be charged as an adult for his role in a fatal hit-and-run crash on State Road 933 that left two men dead.

The crash happened March 24th near the intersection of Auten Road and State Road 933.

One driver hit and killed Michael Marks. That driver stopped.

Another pedestrian, 49-year-old David Fordyce, tried to wave away traffic from Marks' body.

Anglemyer is accused of striking Fordyce with his car and leaving the scene.

We learned Friday that investigators located the teen's car in a parking lot next to his house.

When they arrived, the teen approached officers and said he knew why they were there.

During initial questioning he was adamant that he didn't kill anyone, claiming he thought he hit a dog or shopping cart.

In a tearful testimony from the teen's mother, she said he's just a child and his instinct was to come home.

It wasn't until they heard a vehicle description on the news the following night that they realized their car could be responsible.

Anglemyer bonded out of jail on $3,000 bond. He returns to court on Monday, April 28th at 1 p.m.
