Benefit held for 2-year-old fatally shot

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A benefit event was held Saturday at Chippewa Bowl in South Bend for 2-year-old John Swoveland Jr. who was killed by a stray bullet while playing outside last month.

The event cost $20 per person and included two hours of bowling at Chippewa Bowl, all to help the family of baby John.

Eight people have been charged in connection with Swoveland's death.
