Two people were hurt when their jet skis collided on Bass Lake in Starke County. Both drivers were thrown into the water but they were wearing life jackets.
Twenty-six year-old Amanda Marsh of North Judson was treated and released for minor injuries. Thirty-three-year-old Jeremy Hershman of California is in a South Bend hospital, recovering from broken ribs and fractured vertebrae.
The DNR says he struck Marsh's jet ski. She was able to get back to shore, but a nearby pontoon boater helped Hershman to shore for treatment.
