There is a new scam going around that could add a big fee to your next phone bill.
It is called the one ring phone scam, and preys on people who are curious to find out who just called them.
A phone from outside the United States calls a cell phone, it rings once, and the phone hangs up.
That is when, acting out of curiosity, the phone's owner calls back to a number that is usually from the Caribbean.
The person is now making an international call which costs a big per-minute fee.
Even listening for a few seconds can cost $30.
Police say do not return calls if you do not know who is calling, or use an online search engine to look up the number.
