Benton Harbor Parents and concerned citizens in the Benton Harbor School District will hear from a financial review team Wednesday night.
State treasury officials say it's an opportunity for residents to share their thoughts and concerns with members of the review team. The team is made up of five members appointed by Michigan Governor Rick Snyder to review Benton Harbor schools'$ 15 million debt and decide if the district is in a state of emergency.
Superintendent Dr. Leonard Seawood says he hopes Benton Harbor can make a deal with the state, to allow more than the regulated five years to reduce their debt. That’s according to our reporting partners atWSJM
The meeting starts at 5 p.m. at in the Student Commons at Benton Harbor High School
