BENTON HARBOR Benton Harbor is looking to upgrade a local park, possibly adding a farmers market.

The Herald Palladium reports that ground might be broken this fall for a pavilion at City Center Park on Main Street. It would be similar to the Shadowland Pavilion at Silver Beach. The pavilion would become a venue for community events, and even a farmers market.

The project would cost about $250,000, and the city is hoping they can secure grants to pay for it.
