Benton Harbor Library struggling for funds

BENTON HARBOR The public library in Benton Harbor is going to have a rough year for the budget, after some misunderstandings about city policies.

The library director tells the Herald Palladium that the city had always given $115,000 to the library in the past. They stopped the practice this year, hoping that residents would pass a millage to fund the library.

But that won't be possible after all, because residents already pay the maximum 10 millages that are allowed under city policies.
