Five people were injured this evening after a suspended batting cage fell onto some bleachers during a high school volleyball match at Goshen College.

It happened in the recreation-fitness center around 6:40 p.m.

Four parents of Northridge High School players, as well as a student from Goshen College were assisting with the match, when they were struck by the cage.

Paramedics quickly treated the injuries.

None appear to be life threatening.

The gym was immediately evacuated and no high school players were injured.
An investigation has begun, and the school hopes to have more on the cause in the coming days.
