Bank robbery duo formally charged

MONTEREY, Ind. A man and a woman have been formally charged in connection with an armed bank robbery that happened earlier this week.

According to our reporting partners at WKVI Radio, 34-year-old Scott Freeman, of Winamac, has been charged with robbery with a weapon—a Class B felony— and is being held at the Pulaski County jail on a $250,000 bond.

29-year-old Michelle Riley, of Culver, has been charged with aiding in a robbery, which is also a Class B felony.

Riley is also being held at the Pulaski County jail on a $150,000 bond.

The duo confessed to the armed robbery at the First National Bank in Monterey.

Freeman allegedly entered the bank around 1:30 Monday and showed a long-barreled revolver and demanded cash.
