The better business bureau is warning of a scam regarding high school student’s fundraising.

High school aged boys are going door to door saying they are from the John Adams High School basketball team.

The boys say they are selling tulips and will use the cash proceeds for new basketball uniforms.

Bill Groves, Athletic Director from John Adams, said the basketball team is not conducting a fundraiser.

He also said that if the team was fundraising, they would ask for checks, not cash, and would also have proper identification.
