ST. JOSEPH, Mich.--- A longtime attorney has been suspended for coming to court drunk.
Ernest White, from St. Joseph, was arrested for drunk driving in May.
And according to our reporting partners at the Herald Palladium, White showed up in court that same day after drinking.
He was put on a corrective action plan, but came to court with alcohol on his breath once again, just a few days later.
He won't be allowed to serve as a public defender for at least 30 days.
He will be sentenced for his drunk driving charge, and a contempt of court charge, later this month.
