UPDATE: Police release name of pedestrian killed in Elkhart crash

Elkhart, Ind. One person is dead after two pedestrians were hit by a car Monday night in Elkhart.

It happened just after 9:15 p.m. at the intersection of Cassopolis Street and Windsor Avenue.

One of the pedestrians, Maryanne Foyuth, 60, was transported to Elkhart General Hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life threatening.

The other pedestrian, Darryl Foyuth, 66, was transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital where he later died from injuries sustained in the crash.

The driver of the car was identified as Valerie Neal, 57, of Elkhart.

Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be a factor in the crash.
