Indiana hunters will see some restrictions on hunting bonus permits this year.

According to reporting partners at the Plymouth Pilot, antler-less permits will no longer be valid in public hunting areas.

The program was started in the 1980's to help keep the deer population down, but Indiana’s Department of Natural Resources says it's no longer an issue.

The permits will still be valid on some private hunting grounds.
