Hundreds of people gathered in South Bend Wednesday night for one of the city's biggest fundraisers.
The annual Center for History Dinner welcomed 580 guests to dine in the historic Oliver Gardens. This year, the event recognized the University of Notre Dame for 175 years of service to the community.
“If you just stop and think what this community would be like without Notre Dame?” says Chris Murphy Chairman of the Center for History Dinner. “It provides a whole host of benefits to the community and we want to thank Notre Dame for that.”
The event raised more than a half a million dollars for the Center for History.
