One of the most distinctive buildings in Elkhart County is on the market again, just 13 months after its last sale.
According to reporting partners at the Elkhart Truth, the American Countryside Farmer's Market site and 95 acres are up for sale.
Waste-Away Group got approval to turn the site into an eco-park last November, focusing on the company's trash operations. The group planned to use the large barn structure as office buildings but changed course because of the amount of structural redevelopment it would require.
The building is now on the market, though it's not publicly listed and there are no "for sale" signs posted.
A company spokesman says they're keeping their minds open to using the building as a tourist destination or as a means of creating jobs.
