The man accused of killing a former Washington High School student appeared in court Friday.
Tyree Scott pleaded guilty to shooting Christopher Simril, 18, back in February of 2012. The 23-year-old Scott was meeting the teen at Walker Park for a drug exchange.
Friday, Scott stood before Judge Frese and pled guilty to felony murder. As part of the plea agreement, count one murder and count two attempted robbery were dropped.
With that agreement, he now faces a minimum of 45 years and a maximum of 50 years behind bars.
Scott will be back in court Feb. 11.
