A high school senior's decision to give back to her community has become a holiday tradition for one family.

For the past three years, the Baker family has provided Backpacks of Hope to homeless men and women.

Since then, the group has delivered over 600 backpacks across Michiana.

This year though, they decided to help those in South Bend by bringing 129 bags full of everyday items to help those in need.

"Tonight is an awesome and great feeling, to be able to give back to the community is a reward in itself,” said Stephanie Baker. “The things we take for granted – toiletries, a water bottle, a blanket, these people appreciate it and it bring joys to our hearts.”

Paige Baker came up with the idea when she was a senior in high school.
