The downturn in the real estate boom has busted some real estate agents.

Even in popular areas like California and Florida, agents who got in during the growth years are now looking for a way out.

Some have even left the business entirely, while others are looking for work at companies that offer salaries instead of commissions.

One analyst called the bust a "perfect storm" of the mortgage meltdown, housing bubble bursting, and online competition hurting commissions.
