New Cessna in South Bend

There will be a new way to get around the Hoosier State later this fall.

Beginning November 13th cape air will offer daily flights from South Bend to Indy and Evansville.

If you book a seat you will take a nine-seat twin engine Cessna to Indy.

The airport's director says being able to connect to other flights in Indy can save money.

Executive Director of South Bend Regional Airport, John Schalliol says, “If you walk up and want to book a flight to Atlanta 731 bucks, 7 day advance from South Bend. But if you fly to Indianapolis you can save about 300 bucks if you have the 7th day."

The introductory fares will be 31-dollars one way to Indy and to Evansville it will be 69-dollars round trip.
