No seat belt was worn in train accident

There is new information about a car/train crash that killed two children and critically injured their mother.

A report about last week's accident in Hammond shows that the mother was not wearing her seat belt.

Investigators say Edie Bolanos cut through a parking lot in an attempt to beat a train. A freight train hit her car and knocked it in the path of another train, killing her two young girls.

The report did not show if the children were buckled in.
