Community Remodels Basement

Two children now being taken care of by their grandparents have a new living space in their new home.

It is all thanks to a large number of community donations.

Back in May Police say 32-year-old Lisa Mora of Warsaw was murdered by her husband Omar Mora.

Since then their two boys have been living with Lisa's parents.

As a gift and surprise the community unveiled a remodeled section of the grandparent's basement.

The two grandchildren, two-year-old Adrian and eight-year-old Jovan Mora, will now have their own bedrooms and play area.

More than one hundred people volunteered and 30,000 dollars worth of donations were made.

“It’s just really overwhelming. It’s really just emotional and hard to say… the thing is it’s just beautifully,” says the grandmother Linda Bowdler.

Many of the donations from community members were made anonymously.

Although the Bowdlers knew work was being done in the basement the unveiling was a complete surprise.
