Students volunteer for uniforms

Students in South Bend learned you need to give a little to get a little as they spent their Saturday morning cleaning up the Martin Luther King, Junior Center in South Bend.

In return, the Washington High School students will be getting free school uniforms.

"You give a lot and you take a lot. Today was a good experience for everybody,” said Dejhawna Shelton, who participated in the clean-up.

Khaylon Wilson said, “I usually don't do community service, but I got to do it and I like it now and I like to go around and help other people.”

Saturday’s program was put on by the Zeta Phi Beta sorority.
