Roofsit for Alzheimer's services

Reaching for the skies to help those in need!

Barb Winne climbed up on the roof of Riverside Village in Elkhart this morning to raise money for Alzheimer’s services of Northern Indiana.

Alzheimer's is the most common form of dementia affecting over four and a half million Americans!

Barb Winne says, "Alzheimer's research is so important for us and to be able to do something fun to raise awareness and raise funds is really important."

Barb's co-workers came up with the idea for the roof-sit fundraiser.

She plans to stay there until she raises 15-hundred dollars.

This year's Alzheimer’s walk is September 15th at Potawatomi Park in South Bend.

Newscenter 16’s Maureen and Terry McFadden are going to lead the walk so make sure to tune in.
